Washington, D. C. packet coming home Friday, April 27.   Packet explains items to take, rules and regulations, emergency medical form, and medications forms......  Paperwork needs to be completed and returned the week of April 30th.

Arlington National Cemetery

We will visitng the cemetery and participating in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns.  Students were given the opportunity to be selected to participate with the honor guard at the tomb. Requirements for consideration include writing a one page essay addressing the prompt:  When you read about the Tomb of the Unkowns many images come to mind.  Why is the tomb important to you, to veterans and to our country?  Due May 3, no late papers, must be typed, at least 12 point, name on the back of the paper, one page in length.  Turn in to Mrs. Zink, 203.  Requirements and directions must be followed or you will be disqualified.
Papers will be judged on content by people who are not 8th grade teachers.  Winners will be notified the week before the trip.  A strict dress code must be followed to participate.
